Hello! I'm Caitlin, 23. A creative hobby collector of plenty and nature enthusiast.

 

I find nature and the creatures that live in it so fascinating and take inspiration from it all for my work! I would say this is shown the most in my linocut printing and jewellery making, but it has appeared time to time in my digital work also.

 

Magpie's Cove is my small online shop, where I sell lino prints and hand drawn earrings. I use this as a creative outlet to experiment with my craft and explore my ideas outside of studies and work. I've been to a few makers markets and even have some of my jewellery in the 20-21 Visual Arts Gallery gift shop, which has been a very exciting journey for my little treasure trove

 

I studied Creative Digital Media at North Lindsey College and moved up to studying Animation at Sheffield Hallam University. I have a huge passion for animation and aim to peruse a career in the industry. My final project at university was producing my short film, Hide and Squeak, a humorous but heart warming story about Tourette Syndrome. Something personal to myself as someone with Tourettes and someone looking to see better representation of the condition in media

 

In future, I would love to combine my skills in different media as a big personal project. Such as a linocut animation! I would love to push myself to new boundaries and expand my skills. My studio at fountain arts is the perfect space to allow me to get as messy as I need to and get into a creative headspace.
