About the Course: All adults All abilities All materials provided All together All welcome Sculpture Over an intensive May weekend, you will discover the fun and beauty of figurative sculpture from professional and tailored tuition in an artist-led environment. No experience is required. Come with friends, colleagues or solo to make this Summer a creative one to remember! Saturday 24 May Sunday 25 May 10 - 5pm daily You will learn: How to study the human head using anatomical illustrations as an aid in recreating a human portrait in clay. How to take essential measurements from the human head and document these,as an aid to sculpting it in clay. How to recreate the features of the human head (nose, mouth, ears, eyes) using the shadows cast on to the model and measuring methods. How to use various clay modelling tools and equipment. How to utilise various mark making techniques to show textures of hair and skin. About the Venue: We are in Scunthorpe town centre (opposite the Vue cinema and next to the bus station). fountain arts Jubilee Way Scunthorpe DN15 6RB Accessible fountain arts is an accessible space, with an accessible WC. Parking Our nearest car park is The Parishes Multi-Storey Car Park. Parking is free on a weekend. Please consider carpooling with friends, family and colleagues if driving. Train fountain arts is an 11 minute walk from Scunthorpe Train Station. Bus We are next to Scunthorpe bus station.
