ABBY SYMONDS

Abby is a creative practitioner and youth worker committed to helping non-profits and arts organisations build and maintain engaged communities through governance and facilitation.

For 2 years Abby was a member of the Arts Council England’s Youth Advisory Board speaking at the launch of the Local government Association’s Commission on Culture, emphasising the importance of youth voice.

She is a trustee at Curious Minds charity and a Director of The Bloom Initiative CIC, giving opportunities to young people with SEND; creating opportunities for children and young people to participate in arts.

Abby joined fountain arts in July 2025 as Director and is the Deputy Safeguarding Lead. Since we opened in August 2022 Abby has had many roles including: young creatives assistant, studio artist and volunteer.
